21 September 2026 · 1 min de lecture

Knowing your body type means choosing the cuts that enhance your silhouette. Here are the five main body types, one by one.

Silhouette A

A

Pear-shaped body type

The lower body is more prominent than the upper body. The goal: create a balance between the shoulders and the hips.

→Highlight your shoulders: ruffled tops, puff sleeves, boat necklines.

→Bottoms: straight or flared cuts, dark tones, high waists.

Silhouette V

V

V-shaped body type

The shoulders are broader than the hips. The goal: soften the upper body and add volume to the lower body.

→Simple, fluid tops, round necks, soft fabrics.

→Lower body: flared skirts, wide-leg trousers, prints.

Silhouette X

X

Hourglass figure

Shoulders and hips aligned, defined waist. The goal: emphasize your waist, your greatest asset.

→Tailored, belted, form-fitting pieces.

→Avoid loose cuts that hide the waist.

Silhouette H

H

H-shaped body type

Straight silhouette, subtle waist. The goal: create curves and structure.

→Play with belts, the pieces that define a waist.

→Avoid cuts that are too straight, as they accentuate verticality.

Silhouette O

O

O-shaped body type

Generous curves, roundness at the center. The goal: to elongate and streamline the silhouette.

→Opt for vertical lines and fluid fabrics.

→Avoid anything tight around the waist; opt for loose cuts.
